Former Fiji Ambassador Among 51 Honoured with ‘Observer’ Awards
Varanasi, 2 October : The Observer Peace Foundation has announced its prestigious ‘Observer’ awards 2024 by honouring 51 distinguished individuals from various fields, including diplomacy and journalism.
Among the awardees former Ambassador of Fiji, I.S. Chauhan and senior journalist of Press Trust of India (PTI) Dr. Indukant Dixit .

On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, the foundation recognized these individuals for their exceptional contributions to their respective fields. Former Ambassador I.S. Chauhan, Dr. Indukant Dixit (PTI Bhasha Bureau Chief Mangaluru, Karnataka), former UGC Chairman and former Vice-Chancellor of Banaras Hindu University Dr. D.P. Singh and renowned social worker and Padma Shri awardee Dr. Kamalakar Tripathi are among the notable recipients of this year’s awards.
The foundation’s president, Dr. Amar Bahadur Singh, announced that Professor Manoranjan Sahu will be honored with the “Observer Outstanding People of the Twenty-First Century Award.”
Similarly, Dr. Indukant Dixit (PTI Burea Chief Mangaluru), former Uttar Pradesh Election Commissioner Manoj Kumar, Mahamandaleshwar Bhavani Nandan Yati Ji, and prominent physician Dr. Farhana Shams are among 30 distinguished individuals to be recognized with the “Observer Lifetime Achievement Award” and “Observer Man of the Year Award.”
The foundation has also declared that 16 individuals will be awarded with “Observer Young Excellence Award” for their remarkable achievements in various fields.
According to Dr. Amar Bahadur Singh, the awardees will soon receive their honours and certificates. Trustee-in-Chief of the foundation, Professor Amar Jyoti Singh, emphasized that the institution’s goal is to inspire the younger generation to engage in social services by recognizing outstanding contributors to society.
For more than a decade, the Observer Peace Foundation has been honouring individuals who have made significant contributions to education, diplomacy, medicine, law, journalism, administration, police services, industry, and social welfare, fostering a spirit of service and excellence in the nation.
