Army soldier on leave injured in militant attack in Pulwama, condition stable

Jammu, Dec 4: Unidentified militants attacked and injured an Army soldier in the Tral area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district today.

The soldier with Territorial Army, who was on leave, was shot at outside his home in the Sofigund area of Aripal in the Pulwama district this evening, police said.

The soldier sustained a bullet wound to his leg and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, they said adding his condition is reported to be stable.

Security forces have launched a cordon and search operation in the area to track down the attackers, police said.
