“Pushpa 2 : The Rule” Film review:
Allu Arjun has rocketed Brand Pushpa into a dazzling new dimension…
Pushpa 2: The Rule, directed by Sukumar and starring Allu Arjun, continues the story of Pushpa Raj from Pushpa: The Rise. The sequel has exciting action, intense drama, and high-energy moments.
Allu Arjun shines brilliantly, portraying a multitude of characters with flair. From an action hero to an international smuggler who can manipulate state politics and even the Chief Minister’s position, he does it all. Yet, keeping the fearsome reputation of Pushpa out of the kitchen, he goes to great lengths to keep his wife happy, showering her with love and emotion.
Rashmika Mandanna reprises her role as Srivalli, Pushpa’s supportive wife. While her role isn’t as expansive, she remains an emotional anchor, a contrast to Pushpa’s chaotic world.
Faahadh Faasil as Bhawar Singh Shekhawat is once again a revelation. As the clever and morally ambiguous cop, he elevates the tension in every scene. His layered performance proves he is one of the finest actors working today. When Shekhawat infiltrates Pushpa’s operations, arrests his men, and threatens his empire, the stakes are heightened, pushing the plot into riveting territory.
Technically, the movie looks amazing. Devi Sri Prasad’s music fits well, and Mirosław Kuba Brozek’s cinematography, especially in action scenes, is impressive. The production design, costumes, and visual effects are also very good, making the movie visually appealing.
The film has many conflicts, which sometimes makes the story hard to follow and leaves some parts unfinished. The grand introduction of Pushpa on screen feels like an extended celebration, with a slow-motion effect that stretches the moment. The cat-and-mouse chase between Pushparaj and Bhawar Singh Shekhawat in first half of the film also feels a bit prolonged. Despite mixed reviews, the film is a huge box-office success, breaking records worldwide.
While the movie is praised for its mass appeal and memorable moments, It ends with a hint at a third movie, Pushpa 3: The Rampage.
Very good.
Something on business too
